The following part was not posted on your forum because of your Admin request hat not to include any information taken from religious resources, but since many of you requested from me or tried to get the answers of questions list in 1st section, therefore I added all the answers on my blog.
We all know already that science is still not able to figure out the nature of Spirits World and what is happening there, therefore most of my answers below are taken from Islamic references.
Please take your time in reading the below not necessary all at once, if it’s the first time for you to get such information.
1- What is the World of Spirits?

1- What is the world of spirits?
The world of spirits is not related to human spirit only that leaves the human body after death, but it’s a complete world that really exists but can’t seen by human beings and that due to many reasons:
- Incapability of human nature to feel this world using any of our senses (i.e. touch, smell, sight, hearing, or taste).
- Unavailability of tools or instruments that can see or record this world or enable any person to test this world or to login it.
And due to these facts, it’s most probably that this world is on a dimension that can’t be experienced by humans in any possible mean yet.
The world of spirits contains the following:
1. The Angels:
Created by God from light to obey and worship him only, their shapes are different, and could be of variable size from huge that can cover the whole sky and can be formed in human size and shape. They don’t have gender and they don’t like any of the images that are drawn on churches or Roman temples (as young naked children or pretty women), they have different forms and no one can see them yet.
2. The Jinn:
Created also by God from flameless fire, but they can obey and sin too like humans, and some of them are believers and some are not. The worst of them is the Satan, and he has billions among them if not more who are following him, and those who are called the bad or evil spirits (devils). Although part of Jinn is Muslim and some of them came to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and accepted Islam [1].
The Jinn live for ages (i.e. centuries), and can live inside human houses, and some may like to disturb the living people, especially if they are unbeliever where they are stronger on them than on the believers, and they can harm them too.
The Jinn can form in many shapes too, including humans, animals, especially house snakes, black cats or dogs, and they can appear sometimes for human especially at night.
The Muslim Jinn prefer to live alone far away from human being places, and there are many valleys in the desert of Arabia which called the Valley of Jinn, where their tribes live there, and their voices can be heard and sometimes they are seen at night [2].
3. Human spirits:
There are mainly 2 types of human spirits for 3 types of human body status: Good and bad human spirits for before-living, living and dead body spirit, and all those spirits really exist:
Good and bad: related whether the spirit is for a believer and good doing person or un-believer and bad doing person.
The spirit exists before person birth, and it can separate partly from human body during sleeping time (or in Coma) with keeping part of it stuck in human brain, and it separates completely when a person dies [3].
2- What is the natural of spirit? Weight & Smell?
The spirit is created from a very light substance that can flow in extremely high velocity speed, it can cross the universe in less than a second.
The Jinn also used to climb the universe and they can reach in few seconds to the border between the 1st and 2nd universe (or heaven) [4].
The human spirit also has the same nature and can extend its length the same as Angels and Jinn too.
The weight of soul was measured in an experiment of medical physicians, and he estimated it as 21 grams (which was already mentioned in answer part 2/3).
Spirits have different smell as nice or bad smell and this according to the human body deeds in life, if he is a bad person his spirit will be bad too and vice-versa [5].
3- Were all spirits created on the same time?
Most of Muslims scholars say that all Human spirits were created on the same time, and after creation of Adam in Heaven and since then they are still exist and waiting on top of lowest heaven (our universe is one of 7 others) with Adam’s spirit, the good spirits on his right and bad spirits on his left, and this what is meant in the following verse in Quran:
(First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? (8) And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? (9) [Al-Waqewah]
All the spirits of God’s prophets were lighting among the good spirits on the right hand as a shining star in the sky [3].
4- When our spirits descend from heaven, and how?
The spirit of unborn person is kept on 1st heaven waiting to descend on the 40th (~45) day of infant creation in his mother’s womb. The descending will be by an angel who will take the image of this new person from 7th heaven (universe) and the spirit from 1st one, and then blow them inside mother’s womb [3] (and most probably at this moment infant’s heart start beating).
The image that is taken from 7th heaven is created by God himself like the image of Adam, but no one was able to explain it before, but I really believe that it means the “DNA image” as it will form the new characters (i.e. physically and morally) of the new child [6].
Knowing that Jesus spirit was transferred by Angel Gabriel for him only, and that because of his miraculous birth without father, and being precious as messenger of God, as described in Quran as following.
She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent to her Our Ruh [angel Gabriel], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects. (17)
She said: "Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Gracious (Allâh) from you, if you do fear Allâh." (18)
(The angel) said: "I am only a messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son (Jesus)." (19) [Mary]
5- What did God say to us before we descend?
The conversation is mentioned in the following verses of Quran:
[When thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam― from their loins― their descendants (spirits), and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"― They said: "Yea! we do testify!" (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: "of this we were never mindful." (172)
Or lest ye should say: "Our fathers before us took false gods, but we are (their) descendants after them: wilt Thou then destroy us because of the deeds of men who were futile?" (173) [Ar-raf]
6- Why we forget what he said to us?
For many reasons:
It’s since long time when we met God, as it was on the day when God had created Adam. And being the memory exists in human brain which was not born yet.
But, it returns to memory on the events that we mentioned in the 1st part of this debate answer, at the time when the body functions are halted under high stress of extreme fear, pain, anger or sadness.
7- What will happen to a dead soul when it rose back to heaven?
When a person is dying, the angel of death and his followers will descend to him, and they will command the spirit to go out from the body, and if the person was a believer and good acting person in this life, his spirit will go out softly like a nice breeze, and it will be of very pleasant odor.
But, if the person is unbeliever or a bad acting person, his spirit will stuck firmly with his nerves and vessels, and when they command it to go out, it will resist and scatters in all directions inside the body, so the angels will take it out forcibly which cause extreme pain to the dying body.
When the spirit rose outside of the body and taken into angels hands, the human eyes open and follow the spirit ascending for part of a second in the sky, then the body dies [5].
8- What God will say to us when we saw him again?
If a good soul, they will be allowed to ascend through the seven heavens and meet God and they may see him directly if they were among the most pious believers in life. They will return back to their tomb for questioning and after that they will see their places in heaven and they will ask God: O God bring the Hour (the Day of Judgment) very soon, so we join our families and go to our gardens in heaven [3].
But if it’s for a bad soul, they will not be able to see him ever and they will be thrown back into their tombs for the questioning and then sent into a well called “Barhomut” where all bad spirits are located there till the day of resurrection. This well has a window to hell where all bad spirits will see their future places in hell. They will cry to God and ask him, “O God don’t bring the Hour (the Day of Judgment) soon” so they don’t go to hell [3]. This well is also described in other cultures as “River of death”.
The worst souls will be passed and tortured by hell fire on the early morning and evening, and this because of their bad deeds during their life, like the Pharos and his family members, who claimed themselves as Gods, as mentioned in Quran:
The Fire; they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon, and on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): "Cause Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people to enter the severest torment!" (46) [Ghafer]
9- When some of our spirits remember what God said to them?
On the Day of Resurrection, when the souls are blown by the Angel Israfil (Seraphim) to return to new created human bodies to resurrect and get out from tombs, then gather to the Day of Judgment.
On this day, each human remembers the whole story and the events that he passed through since his soul was created on Adam’s day, his birth, his death and finally his resurrection, as mentioned in Quran:
Nay! When the earth is ground to powder, (21)
And your Lord comes with the angels in rows, (22)
And Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance (then) avail him? (23)
He will say: "Alas! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!" (24)
So on that Day, none will punish as He will punish (25)
And none will bind (the wicked, disbelivers and polytheists) as He will bind. (26)
(It will be said to the pious — believers): "O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction! (27)
"Come back to your Lord, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing (unto Him)! (28)
"Enter you, then, among My (honoured) slaves, (29)
"And enter you My Paradise!" (30) [Al-Fajer]
10- Why we have soul mates and soul enemies?
During our stay in 1st heaven waiting our birth time, we meet between our spirits and if we were friends above then will be friends on Earth, like soul mates, and vice versa too [3] [7].
And this also explain when someone sees a person who looks very familiar to him, some say that they were friends in previous life, which technically correct and it was in spirit worlds before birth.
11- Why we see evil spirits during nightmares?
The human spirit flows outside the human body during his sleep but keep sticking to human brain, and some say it comes out from human nose as a rope or unseen light beam.
This spirit during human sleep (or coma) can see the world from other perspective, can see other sleeping human spirits, can see angels or evil spirits too and this what cause the nightmares, and listening to Quran before sleeping and being purified (ablution) before going to bed protect souls from seeing such spirits or being affected by them.
12- Do evil spirits really whisper in our ears?
The evil spirits have the capability to log inside human body and run inside his blood, and they contact human souls in their chests which is called “the whispering”, not in the ear but in the hearts or mostly on the thin layer that is over the heart and touching its chest.
Say: "I seek refuge with (Allâh) the Lord of mankind, (1)
"The King of mankind (2)
"The Ilâh (God) of mankind, (3)
"From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws (4)
"Who whispers in the breasts of mankind, (5)
"Of jinn and men." (6) [An-Nas]
13- Do evil spirits mix with human spirits?
Yes, especially if the person is unbeliever or have weak faith, and sometimes when a person fell under a spell of an evil magician, where then a bad spirit(s) is inserted inside his body and start to manipulate and affect his soul’s functions.
This what is called a haunted person, and sometimes they cause mental (looks like a crazy or unstable person) or physical problem to the body (disability), and this due to the new bad energy that affected the person. This evil spirit could be expelled outside human body by reading certain verses from Quran on the affected person and for certain time, it whether be burned inside or departed him in form of stinky vomit or black blood from patient’s finger or toe.
All form of exorcisms by other than Quran’s words does not affect the real evil spirit, and sometimes it’s only a play between the priest “the actor” and another actor “evil spirit” who may be playing with him, as he enters in some of his followers bodies and disturb their soul so they start shaking, screaming and acting like insane, till the priest touch them and then the evil spirit stops his play and the patient fall on ground and feel falsely as has been cured by the priest, but it’s not for long time as such evil spirits like to play with humans and mock them, so they keep entering and going out of their bodies from time to time [8].
14- Do evil spirits affected by day time?
The evil spirits of the Jinn start to ascend from earth holes, unpopulated houses or regions at sun set, and because of that most of humans sins came at night [9].
15- Who are the keepers Angels, and the soul companion?
The Keeper angel is an angel dedicated and sent by God to protect the human from hurting and committing sins, some call it “Conscience”, when anyone wants to make a bad deed, he sometimes hear a voice in his head, “Don’t do it” this is the voice of this angel.
Also, sometimes it protect the body from being hurt accidently, like sometimes is being shot but the bullet passed few centimeters from his face or his body or his heart, sometimes it was scattered away by this angel too.
The companion, is an evil spirit that Satan dedicate him to stay with the human during all his live to deceive him and push him to commit sins. This companion will enter the hell with the human chained together if the person was unbeliever or bad person in life [10].
All the companions are of bad spirits, except the one of Prophet Muhammad who by Allah’s support became a Muslim [11].
16- Why we see some dead people souls while sleeping?
When souls rose from sleeping bodies they may see the spirits of other dead spirits and they may talk together too [3].
17- Do dead people souls visit their relatives after death, and do they see each other’s souls?
Yes on night only, but we can’t see them unless we were sleeping. And they visit each other too and welcome the newly dead person to know their news and what happened after them [3].
This only for the believers souls, where they are able to ascend from their tombs and rose to heaven to see their places in Paradise and some are kept only in the 7th heaven like the souls of prophets during the days. But, during the night they return to their tombs and some may pray or recite Quran in their graves, like when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) saw Mosses standing and praying in his tomb south of Jerusalem [3].
18- Why some die during their sleeping, although they are healthy?
When souls leave their bodies during sleeping, some are commanded not to return back so they leave completely and in such case, the person is found dead while sleeping. This is described in the following verse in the Quran:
It is Allâh Who takes away the souls at the time of their death, and those that die not during their sleep. He keeps those (souls) for which He has ordained death and sends the rest for a term appointed. Verily, in this are signs for a people who think deeply. (42) [Az-zumar]
19- What is the meaning of the tunnel which has light at end, which is seen by people were dying but they return back to life?
During Coma, the spirit will be separated from human body except from small part in human brain, and because of the weakness of human body it can’t recall it back to join the human body and wake up. And also because of that, the human body can’t feel any pain could happen on his body like burn or cut while in Coma, as his spirit is not functioning all his brain parts.
The spirit thinks at this time that the body is dead and wants to rise to heaven, and because of its speed flying through the 1st heaven (our universe) it will look like a tunnel due to the high speed of the spirit.
The light is the gate between the first heaven and the second one, which is brighter than our heaven and it’s not dark and don’t have stars like ours, it’s all bright.
The second heaven also the place where Jesus resides currently waiting to descend again to Earth, and this explains why some may see him after crossing the first universe (the tunnel) [12].
20- Who is the voice at end of tunnel that says to them: “Go back, it’s not your time yet”, then they wake up!!!
This is voice of the angel gate keeper between the 1st and 2nd heaven and when he saw the spirit rose alone without the angels of death, means the body has not died and its time did not come yet, so he commands the spirit to return back to the body.
The spirit will return after this command instantly to the human who will restore all his spirit inside and wake up suddenly.
Mostly he will feel as he was falling from a high place that happened actually to the spirit on the heaven’s gate.

And on the day when those who disbelieve are exposed to the Fire (they will be asked): Is not this real? They will say: Yea, by our Lord. He will say: Then taste the doom for that ye disbelieved. (34) [Al-Ahqaff]

8 - أخبرني رجل من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم من الأنصار ؛ أنهم بينما هم جلوس ليلة مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رمي بنجم فاستنار . فقال لهم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " ماذا كنتم تقولون في الجاهلية ، إذا رمي بمثل هذا ؟ " قالوا : الله ورسوله أعلم . كنا نقول ولد الليلة رجل عظيم . ومات رجل عظيم . فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم " فإنها لا يرمى بها لموت أحد ولا لحياته . ولكن ربنا ، تبارك وتعالى اسمه ، إذا قضى أمرا سبح حملة العرش . ثم سبح أهل السماء الذين يلونهم . حتى يبلغ التسبيح أهل هذه السماء الدنيا . ثم قال الذين يلون حملة العرش لحملة العرش : ماذا قال ربكم ؟ فيخبرونهم ماذا قال . قال فيستخبر بعض أهل السماوات بعضا . حتى يبلغ الخبر هذه السماء الدنيا . فتخطف الجن السمع فيقذفون إلى أوليائهم . ويرمون به . فما جاءوا به على وجهه فهو حق . ولكنهم يقرفون فيه ويزيدون " .

[6] The following hadith explains that on the time when the Spirit is blown inside the infant, the gender and form of the infant will be decided, which was meant by the word “Fasawarha” in Arabic that means literally “photographed” and I mostly believe it is the “DNA image”.
وقال صلى الله عليه وسلم: {إذا مرَّ بالنطفة ثنتان وأربعون ليلة بعث الله إليها ملَكًا فصوَّرها؛ وخلَق سمعها وبصرها وجلدها ولحمها وعظامها ثم قال يا ربّ؛ أذكَر أم أنثَى؟ فيقضي ربّك ما شاء ويكتب الملَك، ثم يقول يا ربّ؛ أجله؟ فيقول ربّك ما شاء ويكتب الملَك، ثم يقول يا ربّ؛ رزقه؟ فيقضي ربّك ما شاء ويكتب الملَك، ثم يخرج الملَك بالصحيفة في يده فلا يزيد على ما أُمر ولا ينقص} صحيح مسلم/2645.
The following verse in Quran explains the creation of our spirits and our images on Adam days, even before asking the angels to prostrate to him:
[And assuredly We created you, thereafter We fashioned you, and thereafter We said to the angels: prostrate yourselves before Adam; then they fell prostrate; not so Iblis: he was not of those who fell prostrate. (11)] Al-Araaf

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. [Mathew 7]
[9] The following hadith commands to enter the children inside homes after sunset at the time when the devils spread everywhere.
- إذا كان جنح الليل ، أو أمسيتم ، فكفوا صبيانكم ، فإن الشياطين تنتشر حينئذ ، فإذا ذهب ساعة من الليل فخلوهم ، فأغلقوا الأبواب واذكروا اسم الله ، فإن الشيطان لا يفتح بابا مغلقا ، وأوكوا قربكم واذكروا اسم الله ، وخمروا آنيتكم واذكروا اسم الله ، ولو أن تعرضوا عليها شيئا ، وأطفئوا مصابيحكم

[10] The Companion and the keeper angels are mentioned in the following verses:
For him (each person), there are angels in succession, before and behind him,They guard him by the Command of Allâh. Verily! Allâh will not change the (good) condition of a people as long as they do not change their state (of goodness) themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful and disobedient to Allâh). But when Allâh wills a people's punishment, there can be no turning back of it, and they will find besides Him no protector. (11) [Ar-Raed]
His companion (Satan — devil)] will say: "Our Lord! I did not push him to transgression, (in disbelief, oppression, and evil deeds) but he was himself in error far astray." (27)
Allâh will say: "Dispute not in front of Me, I had already, in advance, sent you the threat. (28)
The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust to the slaves." (29)
On the Day when We will say to Hell: "Are you filled?" It will say: "Are there any more (to come)?" (30) [Qaf]
[11] The following hadith explains how the companion spirit of the prophet accepted Islam:
ما منكم من أحد إلا وقد وكل به قرينه من الجن . قالوا : وإياك ؟ يا رسول الله ! قال : وإياي . إلا أن الله أعانني عليه فأسلم . فلا يأمرني إلا بخير . غير أن في حديث سفيان . وقد وكل به قرينه من الجن ، وقرينه من الملائكة

[12] The famous Hadith of “Isra’a and Merajj” means the rising of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to heavens:
بينا أنا عند البيت بين النائم واليقظان - وذكر : يعني رجلا بين الرجلين - فأتيت بطست من ذهب ، ملئ حكمة وإيمانا ، فشق من النحر إلى مراق البطن ، ثم غسل البطن بماء زمزم ، ثم ملئ حكمة وإيمانا ، وأتيت بدابة أبيض ، دون البغل وفوق الحمار : البراق ، فانطلقت مع جبريل حتى أتينا السماء الدنيا ، قيل : من هذا ؟ قال جبريل ، قيل : من معك ، قيل : محمد ، قيل : وقد أرسل إليه ، قال : نعم ، قيل : مرحبا ولنعم المجيء جاء ، فأتيت على آدم فسلمت عليه ، فقال مرحبا بك من ابن ونبي ، فأتينا السماء الثانية ، قيل : من هذا ، قال : جبريل ، قيل : من معك ، قال محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم ، قيل : أرسل إليه ، قال : نعم ، قيل : مرحبا به ولنعم المجيء جاء ، فأتيت على عيسى ويحيى فقالا : مرحبا بك من أخ ونبي…
